In the summer holidays we run a Summer School where children can come and train with experts in the industry. Our tutors on the course have been current and former west end performers, professional choreographers, musical directors and directors. The Summer School is open to all children 7 years old and upwards who have had experience in dance and musical theatre. No auditions …. just come with an energy to work hard and learn from the best !

I was delighted to deliver the singing training as part of the Summer School 2019. Throughout the week of training we found that dancers improved in confidence and also technique. Some dancers at the week had never sung solos before and by the end of the week were singing solo parts in the Friday Showcase. It is wonderful that there is a Summer School in the North East of Scotland coordinated and lead by Professional Performers and Choreographers from the West End. The week was great fun and inspirational !
I loved doing the DCA Summer School as it brought me loads of joy and fulfillment. The teachers during the week were so inspiring, I hope I can work with Anthony again. We worked so hard, I was always tired by the end of each day but by the end of the week we performed a small showcase to our parents on the Tivoli stage – which was amazing. I had a lovely time and thanks to all the teachers my techniques all progressed through the week. I can’t wait for the next one !
